Leadership

reCommerce Adivors is led by George Dawson. George has held senior management roles and has consulted to companies in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia in ecommerce, retail, transporation, and energy.  

George’s areas of expertise lie in online and off line consumer marketing, marketing measurement and operational improvement, with a particular interest in building high growth businesses (25%+ YoY growth) and new business ideas within large corporations. He has been recognized by the Retail Council of Canada for developing and launching a completely new retail concept and counseled some of the largest private equity firms in the world on multibillion dollar investments in both debt and equity. He has also advised major corporations in Canada and the US on issues such as ecommerce growth, price optimization, marketing measurement, SG&A cost optimization, strategic procurement and operational effectiveness.

George brings a wealth of tier 1 business experience to clients having worked with and advised corporations including PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Irving Oil, Staples Inc., Safeway, the Brick, 7-Eleven and Wayfair.com - an IR top 50 retailer where George was most recently part of the management team. George has also lectured on topics including corporate business development, strategy and start up businesses.

Robert Farah is our VP of Corporate Development & Business Improvement.  He has held CXO level roles in broad line retailers across Canada.  Robert started his career in strategic planning with HBC/Zellers and subsequently spent 10 years as CFO at Dylex/Biway and Hart Stores.  Most recently he has been a consultant to over a dozen retailers across North America on topics such as organizational restructuring, finance process improvement, procurement and real estate optimization.

Robert has deep experience in financial restructuring, not for resale procurement and turn around management.
